Queries FAQ?
1. What is Bikelight?
Bikelight is a patent-pending bicycle lighting system that integrates front light, rear light, and a ground laser seamlessly into your handlebar ends, enhancing both safety and style.
2. Does Bikelight fit any bicycle handlebar?
Bikelight is designed to fit most standard bicycle handlebars, including those on mountain bikes and e-bikes up to 800 mm. Also suitable for Trekking-,Fixie-, Folding- and Travel Bikes with normal Handlebars. Not suitable for neutral grip City-, Roadbike and Gravelbike Handlebars.
3. How do I install Bikelight?
Installation is quick and easy. Simply remove your existing handlebar grips, slide in the Bikelight units, and secure them using the standard Allen-Key for Grips. Detailed instructions and a video tutorial are provided upon purchase.
4. Is Bikelight road-legal?
Bikelight is engineered to enhance visibility. Depending on your country’s regulations, it may or may not require specific certification (e.g., StVZO in Germany). We are releasing Bikelight without StVZO approval to retain its wide peripheral light beam, but it’s meant to complement your standard bike lights and improve overall safety.
5. How long does the battery last, and how do I charge it?
The built-in rechargeable batteries typically provide at least 8 hours of continuous use, depending on the mode (front, rear, or laser combined) even more.
Recharging is done via a concealed USB port on one handlebar end, from which both units will be charged simultaniously.
6. Is the system waterproof?
Yes. Bikelight is IPX4 certified. Designed to withstand normal rain and splashes you might encounter on the road or trail. However, avoid submerging the system completely in water.
7. Will the laser damage my eyes or others’?
The ground laser is designed to project a visible line on the road without posing a direct hazard. Always use the laser responsibly and avoid pointing it directly at eyes.
